Lake Students Clean Up Sloan’s on Earth Day

Thirty Lake International School eighth-graders joined forces with students from Jeffco’s Edgewater Elementary for the first-ever Great Sheridan Clean-Up. While Sloan’s Lake is known for its incredible views, wrappers and cigarette butts litter the walkways, and kids who play in the sandbox often unearth fast food bags or soda cans. So the students celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up litter at the lake and on Sheridan Boulevard from 17th to 25th avenues. Watch the kids at work in this 9News report. Lake students said that keeping their community clean is vital and they look forward to next year’s Great Sheridan Clean-Up!
