Former St. Anthony’s Site Now Under Construction After Official Groundbreaking

After months of demolition, construction at the old St. Anthony’s hospital site in west Denver is now underway as the site owner and other city officials celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday.

New buildings will start to take shape in the coming months as the $300-million SLOANS development will see seven different blocks developed in a mix of retail, residential and office space.

Anchoring the site will be an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema — which is known for its full menu and and cocktails served during films — along West Colfax Avenue between Raleigh and Stuart streets. Alamo Drafthouse is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2015.
