As work continues on the old St. Anthony hospital site, we wanted to update you on the progress. These photos were taken on Wednesday, January 14, 2015.
The image above is an aerial view of block 6 of the Redevelopment Project. Block 6 shows the existing parking garage with 707 parking spaces. The new construction wraps the existing parking structure on the north and east with 60 new rental apartment units with retail spaces on the ground floor. New construction will be 5 stories which complies with existing zoning MX-5.
This image shows an aerial view of the west half of block 5. Block 5 will have 307 apartment units – 102 studio, 148 one bedroom and 57 two bedroom units. There will be mixed commercial use on the ground floor along Raleigh Street, which is on the west side of block 5. The building will be 5 stories high, which is in compliance with the current MX-5 zoning.
This photo shows the east half of Block 5.
This is a view of block 4. No developer has been determined yet. The photo shows the required site stormwater detention pond. This will go away when the site is developed. In the final development of the block, water detention will be underground in concrete detention vaults.
