TONIGHT: SLCG Meeting (The Impact of Initiative 300 on Our Neighborhood)

Join Sloan’s Lake Citizens’ Group TONIGHT for our monthly meeting.

Where: The Del Norte VA Apartments, First Floor Community Room (2635 Federal Blvd)Parking is available in the parking lot on the west side of the building or on the street. Enter either through the Federal Blvd. main entrance or the door on the north side of the building, directly off the parking lot.

  • Impact of Initiative 300 – the Neighborhood Supported Cannabis Consumption Pilot Program, on our Neighborhood. 
    • In November 2016 Denver voters approved Initiative 300, granting businesses the ability to apply for a permit for adult marijuana consumption in designated areas. The Excise and Licenses Department is leading the rulemaking process to establish a robust regulatory structure for businesses that wish to pursue this new license.
      • Dan Rowland, with Denver’s Excise and Licenses Department, will brief us on how the City is implementing Initiative 300.
      • Jude Del Hierro, the Executive Director of Confluence Ministries located at 1400 Quitman and Community Representative on the Social Consumption Advisory Committee. The role of this advisory committee is to make recommendations to Excise and Licenses on possible rules and regulations related to the administration and regulations of Initiative 300.
    • Come prepared to learn, ask questions and make recommendations on this very important issue.
